I'm having a bad weekend. Rained all day yesterday and while I got the fuel tank and air box painted inside I was very frustrated at how little I could get done.
Tried the second set of blind rivets to put the rear windows in this morning and they are just not pulling the frame and body panel together That's two weeks I've been trying to get the windows in and it's now going to be a third!
Got the windscreen seal out of the bag. It's a Bearmach one part number MVC3733
I can't work out how it fits on the glass. It's either the wrong one, or I'm so sick, frustrated and getting angry with the whole thing that I can't see the wood for the trees.
I've been looking through old threads and some say Defender windscreen seals only come with the 'pull the cord around' to get the seal over the frame type and not with a filler strip. I've read other threads hat talk about a filler strip. This is my seal.
Just looking at the front of it.
Opening the gap in the front.
There are two gaps on the reverse side.
This makes me think this seal needs a filler strip, which I don't have.
I've got a 1996 300Tdi
I can't find my old seal. I'm sure I haven't thrown it out, I might find it when I calm down and start looking properly!
Please help, cos I'm very fed up.
