Green colouration on a/c condensor hose

Hi everyone I have green discolouration on the condensor compressor hose where it goes into the compressor but the aircon still works? I thought it was prob gas leak dye there is also a really weird almost rumble on tick over which seems to be coming from the plenium but could be related to the compressor i suppose - anyone any ideas

Not sure on the rumble without listening to it but the green stuff on the a/c pipe is dye thats been put in with the gas to check for leaks. Normally a bit gets spilt when injecting it in and you'll normally find it around the filling ports, anywhere else may suggest a leak.

thanks for that it was the hose -50 quids worth -also the noise was a tensioner which is resolved thanks for the help
