And that lol

The cutting of the boot is easyer than you think. I did mine a month or so ago and I was bricking every second of cutting but I followed the messurments to the millimetre and during cutting kept the disk so it was only just getting through and all was fine
"To the millimetre" is the bit that worries me the most I think!
Going to have one last try at dropping the tank tomorrow.
Anyone know what brake pipes I can buy if mine are corroded?
Honestly I don't think you should even touch the brakes if you don't even know what's pipe to buy.
I've replaced brake pipes before. They aren't all the same. You can get rigid ones, flexi ones, long ones, short ones etc etc, I haven't taken the tank off and I've never owned a p38 before now so was hoping for some knowledge from someone who's tackled the job before
Sorry but there are two flexie pipes on the back as well part number anr5916You need copper pipe and male and female fixings and a flare tool the only rubber ones are to the calipers as with most cars . You can get steel pipe as fitted but its to hard to shape or you can get zinc coated pipe that is supposed to last longer again harder to shape copper is fine and easiest to use

Thanks for the info all.
Anyone happen to have any tips on how to remove the jubilee clip holding on the fuel filler pipe? This is the last bit I have to do before dropping the tank but it's in such an awkward place and the 8mm nut/flathead screw thing doesn't want to budge! 8mm socket feels too big for it to be honest but this is what I'd read I'd need.
Sorry to say I told you so but check my post 6th NovTank is out. Nothing snapped amazingly! Haven't checked brake pipes yet.
On the new pump the two metal pipes don't have the flare on like the old one does. Anyone know what kind of flare tool I'd need for this? Would it be the same one to do the brake pipe?
EDIT: just had another look in better light, and it's actually not a flare, it looks like a copper olive. So does anyone know where I can get these along with the nuts?
