I am in process on changing out my fuel lines from tank to sedimentor, sed. to lift pump and return.
I have a late 300tdi that has the hard plastic like fuel lines. I am planning to switch out to Gates 8mm from tank going forward and 6 mm overflow back to tank . I have enclosed a photo of my fittings I could reuse but I won't mind replacing with new fittings. Trouble is, I can't figure out the thread, fitting type. Looks like a compression type with an olive. Testing the fittings on my shop guage, the closest seems to be 1/2" x20 TPI, I think it might be metric though. I need male fittings in the appropriate thread with a 5/16" and 1/4" hose barb. Is the thread , UNF ?BPU, NPT? Help would be greatly appreciated. Here are photoss of the fittings i cut out of my old line.
