My 2001 Freelander TD4 has a faulty front ABS sensor. This has disbaled my TC/ HD and ABS functions. A new sensor is over £300 just for the part. It is not a faulty connection. anyone no where to get a cheaper replacement. Lots of pre 2001 abs sensors on the net but seems that a new part was introduced in 2001 which is dealer supply only.

Also once you change the sensor how do you reset the fault system

Try Equicar or CWS for your sensor - both are good for s/h parts.I've drunk far too much wine to remember if it will need a reset on Testbook,if it does it is only a few mins work and shouldnt cost a packet.

if yer a clever earthling un understand fings like wiring sensors un alike you can dissconect faulty front sensor un duplicate signal from tother wheel to keep ya hd workin . . . jist a thought :) :) :)
