Freelander 1 in for repair see the post, garage have a Black 2.2Td4 SE with body styling pack and 19" wheels. Wife saw it before me and said it looked like a baby RR Sport, I laughed:rolleyes: , you know what they are like......anyway it does!! totally different to the standard, bumpers are squared off, different side skirts like RR sport and a rear spoiler again like the RR sport.

Anyone any pictures of the car with body styling (£1333 option and wheels are £550 each...)

Also has anyone drove one yet.

Saw a FL2 out on the road for first time. It was ASBO orange colour looked hidious.

I have had numerous invites to drive one from my previous dealer... thanks but no thanks.

They start around £21k up to about £30k.. you could get a new Discovery for that money and it would be more capable off-road.

5th Gear did a review on it and gave it an overall good report, but for that sort of money you would expect so. More gizmos on board for traction control and some of the handling/safety capablities are taken form Volvo design and test centres.

I dont think it will sell as quickly as the original hippo. perfectly happy with my FL1 and dont feel the need to spend vast sums of money on a trade in.

Yep only agree wif fl1 bit. . . .:)

Had a test drive, wasn't blown away?!

Obviously the FL2 is nippier, better built and more refind (when warm). When the FL2 was cold it was very clattery and had quite a few points at low revs when warm where it sounds really clattery. The 2.0TD4 in comparision is a lot sweeter, just needs more oomph.

The other thing, it was only averaging 29mpg on a very gentle run at 40-50mph.
