Freelander 2 manual boot opening issue

Hi everyone. New to the site. Freelander 2 suddenly won’t open boot manually. It works fine with key fob. Anyone any ideas ?

Could be the switch under the rubber, you might test its operation with a multi meter, you can get new ones easily
