Finns Prom Dream

Good afternoon Phil, Finns dad here
My son Finn will be 16 in July and loves Land rover series 1,2 & 3
so much so that he wants to go to his prom in one ( no dodgy stretched limo, Ferrari, lambo, Porsche or something else equally tacky )

Is there anyone out there near Ascot on 4th July just for an hour or two to make his night

He's off to Berkshire college of agriculture to fulfil his dream next

Have him turn up in a tat old Landy in a muddy state, get out wearing a black boiler suit and then remove to revel Bond style tux.

I like your style We can do the mud, boiler suit and bowtie the big problem is.... We don't have a Landy

No prom in my day, maybe someone 'forgot' to tell me! I was close though, bought my s2a when I was 18

Any one out there near Ascot with a series land rover who is free on the evening of 4th July ?

I’d have been happy to pop over with a few plumbers smoke tablets and a blank cartridge or two to make an entrance but I’m on holiday that week.

Hope the lad gets sorted.

Always the bridesmaid

Bit far or me unfortunately but mine has been used for mine and two other weddings now. Much better than a tacky modern limo!

I've just had a chat with Phil and said I'm up for it if the weather's good. CBAW putting the roof on!

It's paying it back. I asked the nearby Lotus dealer if my son could have a sit in an Exige for his seventh birthday. They not only took him for a good long drive, but loaded him up with Lotus goodies (and then took his sister for a shot too).

Very cool birthday present!!!

Thanks to John (Boguin) for his offer hoping for the weather to be nice
Finn is one of five so as you can Imagine no nice car to share but we do have horses
maybe for his 8th birthday

A big thank you to John and the rest of the Landyzone Gang
It didn't quite happen for Finn and his prom
he was In Prague competing in a street dance competition
and had to stay on for the finals where they came 4th
But when he got home there were a couple of fantastic
birthday presents which were most unexpected thank you
The metal poster is on his wall (next to the no entry sign)
and the display of series landys is pride of place on his shelf unit

Once again thank you and hope to meet up in the woods some day
