FBH has decided to be really smoky

2005 Disco 3 FBH has decided to start chucking out ridiculous amounts of smoke. I have had the car 2 1/2 years and it has not done this before. Set off Christmas Day and there was a bit of smoke when I got 100yards down the road but thought nothing of it. Half an hour later, pulled up at traffic lights and smoking started again. This time I pulled over, and the outlet pipe from the FBH was chucking out smoke. I have read a few posts and understand what the FBH does but can anyone advise why it should suddenly start doing this and what the cure might be?
 
Ive heard it said that they like a good long burn now and then to self clean and even better if run on paraffin for the job.

Probably needs serviced and cleaned out.
