Wonder if the old trick of letting the air out of the tyres to make them go half squishy would have helped...... or if it could even be tried with those thin tyres.

It had already sunk and was on the floor pan nobody thought of putting the suspension on access and putting something under the wheels then raising it.

i remember the boys clarky may and hamster with the toyota that got a little wet, then after they fished it out of the sea a recovery chap got it going...

Being a Sport no, not without considerable expense.
If you think those 3 were hard on the hilux you should have seen mine. Killed 2 of them and 2 defenders, but the 1995 P38 is still going

Last Hilux was a 52 plate, last 90 was a ‘98.
Hilux is well deaded rotten beyond repair and seriously not worth it.
The 90 was rotten right though several years ago, not 1 straight panel, engine seized the lot ..... although I have heard tale someone has it and is “putting it right”.... if correct only thing it will have in common with what I owned is the registration number!
P38 will be back on the road as my daily next year, just needs few little bits sorting first
