My RR was having trouble levelling itself and was taking time to come up to height each morning.

I have replaced the compressor with a brand new one as I knew that was "lazy"
I have replaced the airbags as they were quite old.
Two of the height sensors were giving "out of range" readings and causing faults, I replaced all four.
12 months ago I did the "O" ring refurb of the valve block.
I removed the "White Plug" behind the kick panel, soldered the wires and sealed them with heat shrink tubing. (I did photograph the process, but I can't seem to post the pictures on here)

Having done all of the above, I was able to calibrate the suspension properly, and all heights are now bang on.

BUT! overnight, the rear end is still going down on it's own.

What can it be?

Probably a leak. Pull the timer relay under the passenger seat and see if it still goes down.
 
+1 on above.

Could be leaking where the pipe goes into the bag. Try pushing it in. I had 1 nearly new bag (Dunlop) start leaking after I hit a monster pothole. The cap at the top had been knocked so hard it had almost come off and was leaking ever so slightly out the side. Still got it in my garage trying to work out if it is safe to push the top back in - although what's the point when I've put a new bag on anyway?!
 
He did. I guess if the bag didn't go on straight or was dropped without filling first that could twist the end cap on the bag and cause a small leak.

Hence Datatek's suggestion to pull the delay timer and if a corner drops then something isn't right. If the tank still empties then it must be upstream.
 
Ah, so if I pull the relay, that disables the block?

So if it still goes down, then I have an air leak somewhere between the block and the bags?

I'll try that then.

I was very careful when fitting the airbags and only allowed the system to fill when the weight was enough to prevent the bags from inflating too far.
 
Before I pull the relay, I decided to check round with a spray bottle of soapy water.

Sprayed the tops of the rear airbags, no leaks.
Sprayed the pipes that join the block, no leaks.

Sprayed the pipes that go into the air dryer and out of it - bubbles coming from the top junction !!!

Dismantled, cleaned and put back together, no leaks.

Could this have been my fault - I'm just waiting to see if the car goes down now.........
 
I'll get a new air dryer anyway, as I didn't have any 'O' rings of the right size.

The 'O' rings in my air dryer are an orange/red colour, think I read somewhere that these are not good 'O' rings!

No problem with red O'rings other than on worn NRVs, to soft.

No there is no pressure in drier unless compressor is running.
 
I pulled the timer relay out before the weekend and by Sunday evening, the back n/s corner was right down to the bump stop.

This suggests that I have a leak somewhere in the line between the valve block and the air spring. There are no leaks where the pipe goes into the airspring, or to the valve block.

I have just replace both exhaust back boxes with "Tee-Piece" and I read on here that a blowing exhaust can damage the air pipe.

I'm going to buy some pipe and replace the lines anyway, what diameter is the pipe?

I presume that it is nylon airline?
 
Soapy water test on air bag line and connections could be as simple as that

I got a load from a firm down here but I'm struggling to remember their name. Airtech? If you find a branch and pop in they may give you it for free as they often have metres of offcuts going spare.
 
I replaced the rear end airlines this morning, three in total. One goes to each rear air spring and the third goes to the reservoir tank. After two hours, no movement, car is still level.
I think I have cracked it with some great advice on here. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions.
