Hi guys
I removed a couple of gas struts from an old fruit machine a couple of weeks ago and planned to fit one of them to my rear door, anyway last week i decided to fit one of the struts to my back door but when i removed the door card i found the bottom part of the frame was rotten where i was going to mount the strut, its a shame really as the rest of the door looks mint and is a shame to throw.
so thought i would ask is it possible to buy frame sections or is it a case of buying an old door and using part of the frame off that one and welding / patching it in to my door
