Series 2 Does anyone know what the initials E.N.V. actually stand for?

I have yet to break a LR axle, broke a Marina 1 once :oops:.

I usually manage to break a half shaft every time I manage a good hard weekend of off roading.
Doesn't actually break that weekend, usually lets go about a month later on the way to work.
You must be lucky enough to have some good quality half shafts in your axles
 
My understanding of ENV which I got from an old engineer friend of mine was that there was a collaboration between Eaton, Nuffield and Vauxhall back in the 60's making strong axles for light commercials, much like Dana did with theirs. These axles were available to all manufacturers and were used a lot by the British Army.
