Spent a day on the moors on Sunday and driving back through the lanes on my way home and pass my old 90 sat outside a garage looking abit lost. I jumped out and had a gander at it, waffling on to the missus about how cool it was and i'd consider buying it if the price was right.

The price is about right, but do i want it?
Is it snatching back some of the past fun times...i mean i drive a van all day and a pick up truck on weekends and i don't really have a need for another vehicle, especially one that needs some work doing to it...

So why am i here asking these questions?

The long winter months are coming and i have a nice warm garage to work in...

If the price is about right and the garage is nice and warm, what are you waiting for? You might even be able to do a wheeler dealers on it and sell it for more than you spend on it, just have fun doing it over the winter.

The one and only Beasty :D although she has a 300Tdi in her now, winch bumpers and a roof again ( she was a pickup in her later stages )

Sat most of the night thinking about it again, i'm going to see her on Wednesday and have a real look at her again...

Let your brain do a bit of the thinking not just your heart. Why did you sell it in the first place? Check out the chassis and bulkhead as you would when buying any landie.

Go buy the old girl back!

She was sold as she wasn't practical for me, life changes, company growing and a pick up 90 is as much use as tits on a fish, so i sold her on and got a 110 TD5 van back. That soon went as well and i moved onto vans and now i have 2 vans and a pick up for work.

She would just be a play thing though, tidy her up, re spray and drop a v8 in it for the sound alone and use it to ferry the dogs onto the moors and just generally enjoy having her and not worrying about her.

She does need some work though and i'll update with the full run down tomorrow, but i knew there is going to be some work to do on her just by looking.

The heart wants her, the head is not so sure.

Go for it you only live once :D, when deciding about things like this I always ask myself when I look back in years to come will I sit there and say why the heck did I not do that ,life's short so enjoy it while you can .

Now that sounds lush although i can't imagine you in anything but wellies!

Pretty interesting. And the Fens are about as different from Kernow as you can get. Pretty dry here too, but I expect I will need the wellies in due course.

Pop up for a spin on the boat if you are in the area! :)

I do agree with you, however it's a second time round for me on this one and that's probably why i'm hesitant. I know the truck like the back of my hand ( well i did 4 years ago! ) but life was different for me back then and i had time to tinker and she became a huge part of my life ( bad marriage, usual stuff ) and made me some good friends on here and elsewhere, but nowadays i run a succesful construction company and i don't have that time.

It'll be a different scenario for her and me this time around..
