And do not be tempted to remove the needles as they are extremely fragile. I sent mine off to an expert and it cost me about £100

Thks for avdices, you have encouraged me to do more research on the topic and I ve found in Budapest a pixel service. So it will be too in one. Nice trip with family plus repair that should cost less then 100EUR. Only if they know how to withdraw the pixel screen out hmm :)))

Yes it is you need to remove the speaker grill from the centre to access securing scews then just remove the dash top and maybe the side vents to its silly easy to access the speedo maybe 10 mins and its off

Thanks. I was thinking it could be a to do, when I find someone to replace the CD player and display unit. Might as well do them all whilst dash is out. I'm quite lucky that the missing pixels are minimal.
None of the above are essential, so can wait until I get someone competent and possibly experienced, who won't take forever to do the job.

I am lucky i have working everything including the very dated sat nav and cassette player. Iv been playing some of my dads n mine old tapes in the car much to every ones amusement.

I also have a parret kit fitted by the previous owner........but just like in my p38 once i fitted the android i wished i had done it sooner.

Will proberly fit one of these in the summer. Just check if you need the extra lead to connect to the original amp or not

Thanks, it was more for interest and to see if I would want to change. I am trying to keep everything as original as possible. I too am playing tapes at the moment. I even bought blanks and have been doing the old mix tape thing, from my more up to date CDs. Others are fascinated by the concept of tapes rolling-on-the-floor-laughing.png
