Hi there. I have rattle on my 1994 300TDi discovery that Id really like to get to the bottom of.
The rattle sounds just like two metal plates vibrating against each other. The sound comes from the passenger side foot well/glove box/under dash area and only occurs at certain low revs (usually a little too low), in any gear, and only for a few seconds. The sound is quite loud and doesnt appear to be getting any worse but I have noticed that it is starting to rattle in the same way when on a rough track but independent of rev range (more to do with speed).
I had the glove box out, got my other half to drive along in the wrong gear, with my head under the dash its as loud as you like under there but I just cant find whats causing it!
Anyone come across this before? Any suggestions much appreciated.
Cheers
