Disco 300 tdi auto eml light

Hi guys, I've seen a disco 300 tdi auto, he says when your a constant speed it chucks the eml light on and it goes into a like limp mode sort of thing, lift throttle and apply throttle again then it goes away, but if your constant again it does the same. Any help would be great. Thanks
