Disco 200tdi, Engine Stop. ?.

I Recently bought myself a Mk 1 Disco. Unfortunately had to call the
AA man out at 11pm stranded in a car park. The engine was turning but nothing firing. The AA guy managed to get it running and informed me
the Engine Stop Solenoid was duff. Next day I purchased a new solenoid
and fitted it. Fine, starting perfect now, Only problem now (,Wait for it).
Now won't stop when I switch off. Only thing to do was to stall her each time untill I noticed that just press the footbrake pedal and she stops.??????. Very strange. Any ideas on this one please. Chas. New Member

I thought I knew a thing or two about motors but this has me beaten.
Never taken any of my vehicles to a repair garage in 50 years of motoring but getting near with this one. Come on all you Landie experts think of something. Every problem has a solution. I HOPE.
