Hi i have a defender 110 that i have stripped and rebuilt and its come to the wiring nightmare hate it! when i put the hazards on the trailor light is flashing on and off instead of the indicator light, and also when i put the lights on dipped beam and try putting them on main beam they go out? is it poss i have wired them wrong on the lamps themselves where the 3wires go into them? also reversing light dont seem to work but its wired up and has a feed, does this work on a switch?
cheers lee

Wouldn't worry about the trailer light coming on instead of the indicators, as long as they work as hazards.Quite a few have this trait.
Lights could be faulty fuse/fuse wire;faulty dim/dip relay or faulty wiring.
Reverse light is switched via a screw-in switch on the gearbox, the position of which varies depending on if you have an lt 77 or r380 box.

No reversing lights no fog lights a clump of wires in the tray bit at the back of cig lighter etc? and still no main beam spent 6hrs on it tday and got knowhere
Can anyone help please?

Very easy to wire the headlamps wrong at the lights. Using a test lamp or multimeter check you have 12v with dip and full beam at the lighting connector. If not, check same at the fuses.

Problem is, its had another bulkhead put in it at some point but not sure all fuses are in the right order! so would you take headlamp out and check the back of it?
