Decat or not decat

If you could tell us where you've seen the decat pipe for the Td4 then a few of us would probably be interested in trying it.

Havnt had any luck finding one so was going to modify the front pipe, remove the cat and put a bit of pipe in:D

I believe so;) I checked with the mot chaps over here and they seemed unconcerned. Too late now anyway:D

Seems to rev a bit smoother and pulls better from lower revs. Turbo seems to kick in around 1100 rpm.

You'd have been better off knocking out the honeycomb from your cat. Over here if it ain't got the cat in place most of them will fail it.

Drat! West Wales td4 2003 so it's a not on ya nelly then!!! Ha ha hope it works well - does it have an impact on the ECU engine management?

No light showing *touch wood* By the looks of things it was the original front pipe so with 82k on it it would probably drop off soon anyway. I did the same many years ago with the Disco in my avatar. It was a great job

Looks good, I once did it on a 1993 petrol Lancia & it made a real difference. At that time my dad worked for the Rolls-Royce (aero engines not cars) & was able to make me up a good solid pipe. I'd only go ahead if I could get a bypass pipe or scrap catalyst cheap to play with.
