Creeper Choice??

Mine is very similar to your second choice; the plastic one.
I'm no lightweight either, the only problem I have after using it is getting upright again, but that's more to do with gravity than the creeper board.
All-in-all, it's quite comfortable and can be stowed away by hanging on the wall.
 
One thing about these items is that unless you've got a dead flat floor they can be a little hard to use. The wheels are quite small and with the weight of a person on them even minor imperfections can cause trouble. A trowelled flat concrete garage floor is OK, but block paving and roadside tarmac are a bit awkward, and often I just put a flattened out cardboard box down instead.
 
My work area is a very smooth granite driveway covered by a carport. However it is on a slight slope that might be an issue. My thoughts are it would make life a lot easier when descaling the chassis and waxoiling etc.
 
I've got a 4 wheel one and never use it. It's at the back of the shed. Big piece of cardboard or carpet for me.
 
I use cardboard and ply at the moment. Just getting bloody older and its getting more difficult to haul my carcass about under a vehicle.:(
 
I too had one just like the second (plastic) one and although it worked ok I always felt slightly limited by it compared to just slinging down a lump of carpet I ended up giving it away..

there are certain things like sockets and battery guns i dont mind paying snap on prices but creepers when card boards free
 
When I replaced the gravel drive with blocks, I thought I would be after one of these, but I borrowed a neighbour's to try, and have abandoned the idea!

Firstly, the blocks are so much more comfortable than the gravel, and so much easier to move about on. If I'm going to be in one place for a long time, I use a foam camping mat for a bit of padding.

Secondly, a trolley is no use unless your surface is dead smooth - it won't roll about in the way you need (and certainly not on blocks). And if it is dead smooth, it needs to be pretty horizontal, or the trolley will creep every time you shift your weight.

Third - due to the thickness of the trolley with its castors, you will more often need to jack the vehicle up.

All in all, not very useful!

Thanks for advice guys. As usual lots of good advice. However the wife must have heard me talking about one, and she got me the first one above. It is good apart from the trays do not magantise anything and are hopeless. I am considering returning it for the other one attached.

Edited....don't know what happened as they are both the same. The second one is identical except without steel trays and a LED inspection light fitted.

Yes man,it's the same for me,getting up is the hard part.Knee pads are a great help,the plastic creepers seem durable enough and might even last longer.
