Got a 57 plate L322 TDV8 with 70k on the click.
Hello I have an issue regarding a rumble for the NSR on my Vogue TDV8 (2006). I noticed that on an intermittent basis, when maneuvering on a left or right turn, that a rumble appears to come from the NSR.
I have managed to get the fault to occur on super smooth roads and at speeds from 1mph upwards. The new thing I have noticed is that if the rumble occurs, I can stop it by simply bring the vehicle to a halt, turning off the engine and as soon as i turn the ignition to position one, there is a "release" (the back end loosens / lifts up as if a brake has come off but I dont put the electronic hand brake on excepy when parkin up) and the rumble stops. The LR dealer witnessed the fault and said something about a "solenoid" acting on the NSR diff / drive shaft could be at fault, but is its intermittent, would you have an opinion or explanation of what they could mean before I book it in for investigation. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Paul
