Hi Guys - not used to being in this Forum as currently a freelander owner. Thinking of getting an L322 TD6 - are these generally decent motors and anythink I need to look out for buying used?

Thanks

Yeah they are good and considering the technology in them, they reliable too.

Few things to check that I can think of off hand are..........

Make sure all the digits are working on the dash displays.
Check the tyres for uneven wear (aka freelander!)
Make sure there are no suspension clonks and knocks when driving and check the EAS operation.
Make sure there is not a metallic type clonk when going from drive to reverse and vise versa, any clonks suggest the diff splines may be on the way out.
Check for water ingress in the spare wheel well and in the compartment where the sat nav lives (left hand side pannel in boot).

Thats about all I can think of at the moment.
