not a problem i'll sort the pics monday when im under it... as for the shocks they just fell out they hadnt been fit on right a washer or something hadnt been put back on ? which is why they both fell of withing days of each other....

all the joys or motoring :)

Only once have i been disappointed, ironically the landy i keep myself, the chassis was not good..however with great help from some of the lads here its now worth more than i paid for it..

If you genuinely feel its been sold under false pretences file a complaint, if you got what you paid for, i.e you initially felt like you'd got a bargain, then stop bitching, fix it and enjoy it.

im trying to fix it bloody hell i asked for a lil help you said yourself someone gave you some help im not moaning i would just like a bit of help...
 
Your first line was 'i'm never going to buy off ebay again' and 'discos are crap'...now oddly enough this is a landy forum, after you've been here a bit you can say that, but peeps get offended when a noob slags a whole model off from post 1.

It's good you're asking for help, i'm sure you'll get it...just watch your ****ing language..

im not saying discos are crap im sayng this disco is crap and needs some work which is what i am trying to do.................... all i asked was for some help not an argument but clearly this is too hard.... forget i ever asked.....

the sad thing is i was warned these discos are crap but due to ignorance and that fact im british and so is a landy i didnt listen. your all gonna yell but im now thinking the shogun may of been better..... the fact is i dont want a jap so to cut a long story short....

i am wondering if anyone in the leeds area (wetherby, boston spa) if passing would pop their head round my gate and see if they can understand my problems... i dont have a clue about land rovers yet. and haynes manual isnt much cop.... i just need pointing in the right direction im all for learning by doing it yourself... of course my kettle is always on and full and if pointed in the right direction (and not the scrappers) i'll get a crate of wateva you drink......

actually what i said was i was warned discos were crap and not to buy one.... what i did was i went and bougth a disco anyway because to be honest i love em although my dream is to own an old series ambulance... sorry if i have offended anyone i havent ment to.... and i will watch my language i dont want to argue.....

if you want a marshal ambulance your gonna need deep pockets they are getting rare but keep an eye on witham vehicle services and milweb they sometimes come up on there, sometimes see them advertised in the back of LRO etc and on ebay too

i looked in the service book and it says last service is 1999
ive ordered a service kit just waiting for the post.
ive also ordered and egr valve block... been told this helps ?...
turbo wastegate has been mentioned but its all seems to be fine...
 
forget the service history. it'll have been serviced a few times since 99 it just won't have been done in a garage.

Do a search on here and have a look at the list of usual faults then go and see if your's is fooked in the same places. Rust Rust and rust on rust is what ya mainly looking for.. Where the oil coming from engine, gearbox, or axles??

cheers i'll take a look as for the oil leak thats confusing it seems to be coming from the alternator ?
