Is anyone running KM3's yet?

How are you getting on with them?

I going to be needing tyres soon.

No, but by golly they look like a nice tyre don't they :)

What size are you going for? Stock or a bit bigger?

I have the ‘old’ ones in 235/85/16 on my 90, and I really really wish I’d gone for 255/85/16 instead.....
The KM3 is a great looking tyre though, whatever size you go for....

Stock 235/85/16.

Im torn between the KO2 or the KM3 as i here the KM3 are very good on the road.
I’m not sure how you can compare KO2 and KM3. Completely different tyres. You either want an MT or not. Lots of other MTs and ATs to compare each too.

As for the KM3’s. haven’t run them. They look ace, but prices are eye watering and I don’t believe they are in any worth the money being asked for them. If I was going for them, I’d get the 7.50’s though.

Have you had a look at prices?

Yes i totally agree with what you are saying but i am hearing so many good things about the KM3's performance on the road that people are very impressed with there road handling capability's.

4xoverland on youtube has used KO2's for years and even he is sticking to the KM3's after trying them out.

Price is in my budget and i will be buying 6.

If you don’t mind be price go for them. I’d go KM03. Never really got on with the AT’s. design is too biased to N American terrain. In the UK we have very little similar terrain. The MT’s are also going to be way better on wet grass and British mud.

I'm running AT KO2's and they're great in snow, mud, on dry roads and wet roads and green laning. A million times better that the old BFG AT's which were dangerous in thew wet.

If you can afford it BFG tyres are the best! There really are no others that last as long

Do you go green laneing and off roading on the KO2 much?

KO2 will be fine for most lanes. But they aren’t a mud tyre. When people say they are good in mud. They probably aren’t really comparing to a proper mud terrain or haven’t been in real slick mud.

The KO2 is about as good as an AT will get in the mud. But an MT will be better.

In my experience, the KM2 when worn on the corners is not very good in the mud.

The KM3 loooks like it should be a lot better , Have a friend who has KM3's will see how he gets along with them after a year, But I still may go for a set of beartown MT tyres..LOL

Cheers

My old BFG AT's were harder than the road and so we're only half worn when I scrapped them. The new KO2's seem to have a softer compound. Much better tyre, but probably won't last so long. Much safer though :)

Green laning, fields and towing heavy stuff through wet muddy fields, but not the sort of stuff neilly and 300bjp/ton do.
I should think they are very good for this sort of use. I usually lane on XZL’s as they are tough, ok on the road and not too aggressive to tear the lanes up. Most of my other tyres are a little more extreme.

The KO2 is probably the best all round setup if a lot of road use is intended while retaining good off road ability.

Op when I talk Mud Terrains I run things like this:

But I wouldn’t dream of using them for laning. And they are somewhat compromised for road use.
