Jist talk bout tyres, wot wons do you fink best un why, un wot milage. . .Willos just had some bf goodrich fitted and reckons they are bit better than the mitchelin sycrones, your thoughts. . . . .:)

Goodrich get good press from local tyre depot. Those guys are driving 4x4 Scooby.

I have Bridgestone duellers which are a general road tyre/loose gravel. They are great in the snow as well.

Previously only had the Goodyear wranglers - I wouldnt bother despite LR recommending them, they were awsome in snow but wear very quickly on the road

Looking to get a set of Kumho knobblies for my spare set of steellies, for off roading. Anyone else fitted knobblies on their FL?

what a load of old bollocks, ive had a set of wranglers on my disco for 4 years and they are still good. wranglers have always been renown for lasting well.

B.roll.locks yourself mate!

Most your gonna get out of Wranglers HP's is about 15k with sensible driving on the raod. And thats with switching the front to rear cos the front wear quicker than the rear on the FL, especialy with the prop off for 6 months of the year.

Even the goodyear F1's last less than 10k. they are a soft component tyre for better grip and handling, therefore they wear quicker

duz it matter? - If he is happy - just let him have his Wranglers!
personally I always thought they were pretty good - but wot do I know about jeans?

LOL always knew you were a cowboy

Im not saying that they are a bad tyre, far from it.... but at around £75 each I expect a bit more mileage. The Bridgestone duellers I have on at the moment are a lesser tyre but at £56 you cant go wrong.

Plus there are reports of wranglers and Mich synchrones giving bad road noise... both expensive tyres and recommended by LR as the only suitable tyres for their wheels. Pirellis were the other type they recommended but these were only fitted on the 17" wheels.

LR claimed that the recommended tyres would not come off the rim when punctured, but other tyre companies have caught up with this.
