Hi i have a p38 and my bumpers are looking a bit tired other than having them sprayed is there any product that anyone thinks is the best. The color of my p38 is black, thanks.

Bottle Of ground nut oil from the supermarket and put that on with a rag after you have cleaned them with an all purpose cleaner or wd40. Brings them up lovely and is cheap!

Don't use oils or 'back to black', its simply a silicone spray that only looks reasonable for a few days & as we all know, silicone is a sod to be rid of!!

Get this from e-bay:
Forever Black Dye Kit - Trim and Bumpers - A must have! on eBay (end time 12-Mar-11 18:45:02 GMT)
Its a permenant ABS dye & WONT come off or fade, it comes with a plastic de-greaser/cleaner & MUST be thoroughly used to be rid of old oils etc.
It evaporates quite quickly, & the 'depth' of black is built up over several coats.
Be carefull not to get it on the paintwork as it don't want to come off!!

I did all the black on mine 2 years ago & it still looks great, makes a hell of a difference to the look of the car.

I've used a hot air paint stripper on my girlfriends Gaylander and they looked pretty good when I'd finished. That was a couple of months ago and they still look good.
But a word of warning it only works on some plastics so make sure you do a test somewhere out of sight!
