As stated in title, I know it's first world problems, but had a weird one with the auto function with windscreen wipers today, and wondering if anyone else has encountered it.
The auto function was working quite happily, but earning it's money, on the drive back North. I had driven from London and was just passing Oxford, with wipers on all the way. When , suddenly they stopped, despite the rain still battering down. I put them to normal, function, and no issues, so tried again, still no joy. I tried a couple of times , and noyiced, they were stopping just above the correct , stopped, position.
I went back to manual, for the next few miles, then tried again , with no joy. I then pushed down to the lowest position , to clear the screen, put back up to auto, and it worked. A little while later, auto failed again, and again stopped just above normal 'park' position.
I went back to manual, as rain was too heavy to mess about. Stopped at services, set off and auto has worked no issues since.
Anyone had similar? Is it leading to some type of failure? Or is it just one of those, 'oh heck it's raining, I'm a Range Rover, I must throw a fault', type things?
Thanks in advance
