can anyone give me any advice on things to look out for when buying a range rover p38 model, advice on different engine specs relability and any common faults to look out for would be appreciated.
i have been told not to bother as they are not very relaiable and have alot of niggiling faults and to get a more reliable toyota 4x4 etc
i have always liked the range rover and they are very affordable at the moment but from what some people have told me i'm having second thoughts.
obviously i want a full service history etc but not sure even if its belt or chain and what service intervals are like etc just dont want to buy a lemon so any advice would be appreciated.
 
:confused: is this not the range rover section to ask questions about range rovers am i in the wrong section
 
i think he might need you to rewrite everything that's been written on here about P38s, but using simple short words so it's easy for him to understand, nothing more than 4 letters please
 
very helpful, when i SEARCH i find not much on a newbie buying a rr for the first time
 
anyone with any information then i would appreciate it,but anyone who cant be bothered to type a reply other than use search or does'nt know,then please i have used the search function to not much avail. ;)

yeah, cos telling him to look down the list of problems in the rangerover forum is pulling his ****er aint it. ffs what is it with you rangerover lot. if you climbed down from yer own arses every now and then you would realise the difference between sound advice and **** taking, but yer just cant face it that the 45grands worth of tin you bought is an unreliable piece of ****.
 
alot of info on problem after problem in search which is worrying,cheers for the replys well most anyway. friendly lot arent they some of them haha strange how they spend there time writing to slag someone off when they could of spent that time providing some useful info.

oh forgot they dont know much useful info.
hope i dont turn out as deranged as some of the other pc heroes on here, it must come from years of owning rovers and having empty heads and empty pockets :D
 
Fook off yer pompous lazy prick. What is it with some people thinking the world owes em something and all they have to do is ask and everyone should just come running. Too fooking lazy to go out and look for it themselves. ****ers.
