Hello all
I've been looking online and have found aluminium inlets for the discovery 3 to replace the original plastic ones but I can only find ones for the 3 liter.

Does anyone know if land rover changed the inlet sizes for the 3 liter as I have the 2.7 tdv6?

Hi mate 3.0 covers from jag xf fit 2.7 have done this changes induction sound, check breathers are same
Don't know about aluminum rocker covers have considered them but stuck with oem so far would be interested in your thoughts if you go this route

I've always considered preventing better than treating, so I'd say they are more than worth it and will stop you getting stranded.

I really meant how they fit if you buy them, never had a 2.7 split usually 3.0 that suffer with that have mulled over fitting them on a D4 I'm rebuilding has a few issues one being split rocker cover, prices vary probably quality too, let me know how you get on what ones are you looking at?

I was searching for engine upgrades/ preventative maintenance parts and these came up.
It's not something I plan on doing soon just something for the future.

Look nice too, If I buy some I will put them on a surface plate to check the mating faces are flat as plastic flex which helps sealing, the ones pictured seem to have same breather connections and 306dt fit on 276dt as my 09 has these fitted also it does remove redundant butterfly's as 306dt they are removed does change induction sound but runs great
I may well go aluminum on my sdv6 build thanks for pictures

It will 100% improve the look of the engine bay also , but mainly it's preventative maintenance fit those and you will never have cracking issues.

No worries mate good luck with your build 👍
