Hi all

Over the weekend I discovered my air con was not blowing ice cold air, so today I had the time to investigate and noticed that the magnets on the compressor pulley are not energising to spin the pump so out come the Allcoms although there was no fault code, having done the diagnostics check it came up with

0x30 0x0030 Air quality sensor line fault

so I guess this is the air pollution sensor at the top RHS of the rad, so my question is is it knackered or could it be something else.

PS. I have checked fuse 12 (air con) and the usual wiggle's

Many thanks
Kaz

Had the same issue with mine (air con clutch not engaging on compressor)

So possibility of either 2 problems,
1) there's are leak and it's lost the gas in the system (lack of gas and the clutch won't engage on the compressor)
2) the clutch/compressors fubard.

I would take it to a garage which will hook it upto a AC machine, vacuum the system, pressure test and get it re-gassed if it's not leaking. (£50ish)
Over time the AC will loose gasses ESP if not used.

Turned out was my condenser had a hole in it, new condenser and re-gas sorted it.
