I have installed a different amplifier into my Range Rover following a head unit upgrade which I could not get to work with the Harman Kardon system.

However, now that the install is complete, reception is a little weak on the FM radio, I know that the radio is fine.

Does the onboard aerial require a 12v supply, if so, is it at the back end where I removed the HK amp or is it at the Head Unit end.

Any idea what colour the wire is if this is the case?

Do you have RAVE??

land rover service factory manual RAVE download land rover resource, service manual, workshop factory manual, download, rave, vehicles including discovery, series, defender, range rover, freelander, LR3, Handbooks, Catalog, Catalogue, Land Rover Inte

In the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual you'll find Section E6 - Radio....

I was going to image it on to here but it is a few pages and will take a while to do as it depends on which level stereo you had originally....

But it looks like the Aerial Amp is fed from the Stereo....

D/L Rave and take a gander

Also seek out a member on here - Clarky130 - he knows the Stereo systems very well....

There are two aerials, both need a 12v supply, the black plug is fm am the red is fm only. Sounds like you are missing the 12v supply.
