AC Pipe horrible noise!

Hi everyone

The garage where I usually go fixed my AC problem, but now I have an Horrible vibrating noise that really start to get on my nerves.

Any ideas why the "cold" pipe vibrate like crazy on un-heaven roads and not so often on Highway. Have any one of you ever experienced this before? This happen just after they change the Dryer and Condenser. They may have "disturb" these pipe (understand slightly moved them).

Also the "cold" pipe is touching the "hot" pipe where the Cruise control system is. Could this be cause of the noise (two pipes vibrating) also I am not sure that it is efficient that these two pipes touches each others.

Anyway, any ideas are welcome, I would love to have fix it quickly by myself and not wait their summer vacation is over!

What kind of answer is this? What is the relevance between my work as a Journalist as to do with my question??? Why should this be slammed as "SPAM" or should I be ban?

This is not because I drive car for a living that I know how to fix them!!!
 
Is a pipe clip missing or not secured. You could try using a plastic cable tie to secure the vibrating pipe and see if that makes a difference.

Secondly you appear to be a car magazine journalist. Wouldn't answers you get here help ideas for your column? :(

All pipe clips are here. However one is loose (the hone that is below the windshield). Now the problem is that the "COLD" pipe that seems to vibrate is sturdy (looks like it) while the "HOT" pipe is loose, I could try to fix it with something but how hot this pipe can be? Is simple Zip tie could sustain the heat under the hood?

Use a piece of wire (old coat hanger); just as a test to see if it makes any difference and stops the noise.

We are not that kind of Online mag, we are just a bunch of expats that love car, test them, shoot them (Cameras not with a gun, obviously) and publish what we like. We have a niche readership that only want car porn.

Well, we will put that on the heat.
 
I wouldn't use metal coat hanger wire to do this as there could be several issues.

The pipe is aluminium, wrapping mild steel wire, a dissimilar metal, may well start to cause corrosion of one or both of the metals.

A mild steel wire wrapped round the aluminium pipe that is vibrating could in time wear through.

I would think that nylon cable ties would be best for this job, but it would really be best to find the source of the vibration.

Is the pipe touching the body of the car or an engine part when it shouldn't be?
 
For an emergency, temporary repair you could use a fairly heavy cable tie but wrap it in a figure of eight around both pipes. This will hold them but keep them slightly separated until you can do a permanent repair.

SITUATION:
“HONKING” NOISE HEARD FROM DASH AREA
Customers have heard a noise coming from the dashboard area while the A/C compressor is
operating. This can happen during A/C or front Defroster operation. The noise is coming from a
vibration generated in the Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV). The pintle in the valve vibrates under
certain conditions.

Waiting for the part to arrive and we shall see. Did anyone had this problem before?
