Right, 4hours under the 90 tonight and im covered in ****e and hacked off!...
Everything is as rusty as a tud and not enough room to get an angle grinder in on the last bolt!! arrgghhh..
I think im going to have to take the exhaust off for the other side too - oh what a treat...
and to top it all of, the nut on the Aframe ball joint wont shift!
Taken the splt pin out and tried it with a 30mm spanner and socket and it wont budge, how else can I get it out!
Also, the fulcrum bracket nuts came off with a bit of a jimmy, but now the bolts are stuck fast in the a frame arms and fulcrum bracket themselves, ive beat the lot with a big hammer to free the corrosion but no movement whatsoever, ive even put a bottle jack between the fulcrum bracket stud and my chassis and it didnt move!! WTF!!!
so im totally miffed and downhearted, and to top it off i found a new hole in my chassis - oh joy of joys!!
sitting down with a beer and a cheese sarnie to mellow out a bit, sorry I took my frustration out in this post

Did ye give all the bits and pieces a guid clean with a wire brush and plenty wd40 / gt85 first to clean the threads?
Ah'd be tempted to try a breaker bar and socket on the ball joint nut if it's not comin' off.... if really stuck try splitting the nut with a cold chisel.

Just had a look at me how to thingy and noticed ah had tae jack the diff up a bit (where prop bolts to) to get the ball joint back in square... maybe ye might need to try that to get your one out? Just a thought

yep i did clean them up, the black runny goo on the ball joint is the hammerite with waxoyle dripping off the axle cause the wd40 ate it for lunch ! lol
so, that to paint again when im done...thanks for the nudge and words of wisdom though chief

Not changing joint but wanted to flap disc and paint all the metalwork-plus I've damaged threads now so would need bolts out anyway to put new ones in. You live and learn do they say hey

It's a right struggle at times but yer better off doing things properly, then at least if you have to do more work in the future you'll know you can undo it all again.
