300 tdi electric windows?

Been a bit busy recently and neglecting Landyzone, but the problems still arise

.

The front passenger window on my disco decided it wanted to fall into the bottom of the door when it was wound down

I managed to get it back up and close it but daren't use it again.. Has anybody had any similar problems? or can anyone tell me what to expect when i finaly get round to removing it??

Evening wingy, Would of thought a broken regulator arm or runner. Couldn't have happened a worst time of year ha ha

The the runners seem fine, as does the regulator, when it does go up and down it sounds like there are teeth missing on the pinion gear??

The regulator is a softer metal usually than the motor teeth so fingers crossed its worn them on that rather than the motor if you can buy them separatly that is!!

Hello Accywingy long time since my last visit I only get outa jail every now n then ( joking ) Well as for you window Had the same problem few months ago I even tried washing up liquid down the side of the rubber seals of the window helped a little made window easier to go up n down , but still a clicking sound from the teeth/ratchet part so let it alone .Then just noticed that Rimmer bros sell them for I think £45 ish ,so I'll get one after the cold weathers gone .I did take it to the dentist to sort the teeth but he thought it was a joke ..... he he

wont be long till I'm back ..... Have a nice Christmas & New Year

Cheers Beastie, sounds like exactly what mines doing. The drivers door makes the clicking noise and the passenger one just drops to the bottom

But i wouldn't have a landy any other way!!!!

my drivers side window will only go dowm a little then clicking sound do you think this is the teeth? how do I sort it???

Thinking what it is and what it actual could be are two different things so take the door card off and see where the clicking is coming from first, then let the forum know and we can tell you what to do.
