Anyone want one ??
Looking for a TDI as swap.
200 series with a couple of offroading mods would be good, IE - lift kit a must, maybe a winch ?
Been out of the scene for many years and now just looking for a hobby for myself now that Jnr has grown up a bit
I inherited the Disco as my Auntie gave it me after my uncle lost his fight with cancer in June this year.
I wouldnt know how to value this as there is soooo much differance in prices, I reckon £2300 is about a fair price ????
Like I say when it goes im spending the money on a TDi, so if you have a TDi and would like a 3.9 V8 on LPG then drop me a line.
The car is in good condition on a whole, interior isnt ripped or marked & the body is good bar a couple small dents on the passenger side, caused by a gate post im led to believe, or should I say my uncles blindness, the original stereo has been replaced with a CD player other than that as far as I know its original. Looking under the bonnet it has had a new distributor cap, rotor arm and leads as far as I can see, it has a Sigma CAT1 alarm and immobiliser fitted as well as the standard landy system.
It does have a slight 'tick' on the exhaust but im no mechanic and havent looked at it.
Im no expert by a long way on Landys and have never owned nor driven a Disco before this one it drives spot on to me, it does have a slight 'grind' going into 2nd gear if tried fast, slowly it goes in without and crunch, only does it going form 1st to 2nd and not coming back down the gears, again Ive heard this is an oh so common thing with all Discos.
Ive been as honest as I can be but like I say im no expert in anyway.
Inspections are more than welcomed and for your own piece of mind.
