The horn push on the centre of my 2A's steering wheel is on the blink again.
I only fixed it a couple of years ago, and now the operation is becoming intermittent.
Not acceptable on a safety related item I think.
Now I'm considering whether I should **** with it again, or simply fit a push button switch on the dashboard somewhere and forget about the steering wheel button.
How many 2A owners still have their horn push in perfect working order ?

Mine works fine, only issue I have had was on the horn side with a poor connection.
Although a handy push switch on the dash would make sense.

Maybe it's just me.
I used to have a thing with cars, whatever make or model I bought, the alternator would fail within a few months.
With (series) Land Rovers it's horn buttons and those floor mounted dip switches

We had a push button on the dash, it came like that and never attempted to fix the original.
Get a period looking button and it doesn't look out of place.

The Horn button in the center of the Wheel does tend to suffer with the Slip ring and Brass Brush contact wearing. Then the isolation between the slip ring can degrade..
Finding the parts to rebuild properly is an issue.. Craddocks is a good port of call.

Actually, I just spotted one of those lurking in my back garden near to the ferret enclosure.
Can't remember ever having bought one separately, but probably worth checking out before spending £37
