I have just bought a 1986 2 Door that has had the back seats removed and boarded out like a van.

I have ripped the boarding out and I am trying to locate all the seat components and refit them.

I have bought the seats and frames but am struggling to work out what the locating brackets look like.

There are NO pre-drilled holes, to locate brackets in the sides on the inner panels, where I would expect the brackets to be situated.

If anyone has a 1986 2 Door can you upload a photo of the brackets etc

I have attached a photo of what I believe are the correct brackets but as I say I have no hole to match.

The workshop manual has a basic drawing of the brackets and lists them as MRC3661 and MRC3662, which are available at Craddocks and Dunsfold but they have no photos.

Thanks.

In the absence of any other pics this restoration might give an idea of where the holes are.

Look for the pic from July 2011 'Rear floor goes out...And in again for the last time' giving a view into the car from the rear.
The brackets are visible above the wheelarches. The pointed bits in your pic face the front of the car & the seatback in its upright position locates the round holed fittings on the seat onto these pointed bits locking the seat in the upright position.

Thanks, its a help but a close up of both sides etc would be ideal, also this is a lot earlier than mine, I'm not 100% sure they are the same fittings, the manual doesn't list variations so probably the same. I was just told by Craddocks that most exported RRCs 2 door were sold as vans and never had seats hence the lack of holes for the brackets and seat belts.
