Two questions. MAF and weird connector

Hi all. Been a while been cracking on with the 1999 P38 gems 4.0 - was pretty sure the MAF was dead so got a new one. Just plugged it in and got 0 lb/s - is the wiring dead? Same on old and new sensor. All other readouts are good. Usual MAF issues like misfire under heavy load and grumbly idle...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Restored the steering wheel - finally got a good colour match and it now looks brand new. Last few weeks I've re-painted the rocker covers and refitted with new gaskets, removed the air compressor and tank as I have springs, added more wiring to improve battery charging (and cleaned all the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

New steering damper, anti roll bushes and links, air filter, pollen filter, cruise control vacuum pipes replaced, locking wheel nuts replaced, wheel nut set put on (had some 28mm some 27mm??), Bolt drilled out in exhaust and replaced to stop really bad blowing, new steering box, unceased rear...

    Lumpy gearbox fixed (oil change)

If you're getting a jerking, lurching sensation when changing gear (2.5 v6 jatco) in an auto then i suggest changing the oil. Provided you can get the plugs and official oil it's super easy and the fl1 now changes gear like its out of the factors. You'll need a 24mm and 14mm socket which not...

    P0340

Leason learnt. Don't work at night tired. Had another look today in daylight. The old rubber o-ring was stuck in the manifold. Didn't see it as it was blackened. Took it out, refitted the new sensor, error gone and car starts instantly again.

    P0340

I'll have a dig. I did take a lot off the top when i replaced the thermostat. Ergh.

    P0340

So how can it start if i'm getting that error? The car starts every time and seems to be running fine?

    P0340

OK - a frustrating problem on my 2004 KV6. Saw the error P0340 on my OBDC after doing a thermostat swapout. Accoring to the Rave this is "0340 CMP sensor Open circuit/no signal" it also states that the engine wont start and that there will be a warning light on the dash.... the car starts and...

    Freelander 1 Injectors....

Just a word of warning that on my V6 I was removing the injectors and on one, and one only the bottom half detached and remaining in the intake. Easy for me to get out with plyers but not a fun thing to happen.

Freelander 1 V6 connector and possible missing pipe?

Awesome. Thanks for the info - glad I didn't screw it up!

Freelander 1 V6 connector and possible missing pipe?

Glad the connextor is for something that isn't there. The little connector for the pipe does appear to be on top of the gearbox. Should it have a hose if it's a breather?

Freelander 1 V6 connector and possible missing pipe?

Forum auto changed my link. Should work now. Its not got cruise control.

Freelander 1 V6 connector and possible missing pipe?

I've recently swapped out my thermostat (supprise supprise) and done the manifolds, fuel rail, injectors etc. To resolve a misfire. When doing it I found a connector that wasnt plugged in - its a 5 pin connector with 4 wires that seems to come from directly below the battery holder - it has the...

Me again... pins pulled out of ODB2 Connector

Hi all. I am struggling to find a decent pin out for an 04 freelander, KV6. I just went to plug in the ODB2 connector and noticed wires hanging out. If anyone has one and would be good enough to take a picture of the back of the connector I would be very appreciative of the help. For those who...

    Freelander 1 2004 KV6 weird vacuum hose

Hiya - thanks for the response. The correct pipe is http://miamibritish.com/shop/land-rover-crankcase-breather-hose-v6-freelander-llh500130l-oem/ and it's now fitted. Yours looked very cut-and-stuck and certainly doesn't look like an original pipe.

    Freelander 1 2004 KV6 weird vacuum hose

Ordered it from here... http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/124468/5497/crankcase_breather_hose_v6_freelander_1___rover_75___mg_zt far in a way the hardest part I've ever had to source for a car. Why the part numbers are not in the rave is beyond me (for that particular part)

    Freelander 1 2004 KV6 weird vacuum hose

Na - it's not a radiator hose - have scoured that site, only references the pre-2004 version. Useful stuff on there - just not what I'm looking for. The pipes here http://www.allbrit.de/UNI.cfm?PAGE=837712&SPRACHE=EN are the old versions that wont fit. (LLH102980 and LLH102980A are incorrect...
