Well my box hasn't got this. I changed the chain because it was the wrong type the narrower one. It works fine. This was with the wrong chain As you can see, there is no tensioner in this type of case.

Tensioner? Well I didn't see tensioner in the case. Engine mounts can cause rattle? I will check it!

I made this 😁 But seems not the transfercase makes the rattle under load. Everything fine, bearings ok, cogs ok, chain seems ok but there is a little bit of polishing inside the housing... Anyway, OFFTOPIC 😅

Thanks for the answer. My intuition was the same but strenghten it Always good. I just bought a '08 D3 with EPB and TCCM error codes, transferbox also making a harsh noise under load I repaired the EPB, it needed manual unjamming and proper calibration. Also HDC and TCCM needed initialization...
