About 6 months ago whilst changing gear the clutch pedal sprung up and hit the dash. I depressed the clutch again and it was fine and has been ever since, a total one off - or so I thought.
Today it's done it again and it's permanent. I can drive the car OK, either clutching from dash height or riding the pedal (not the actual clutch), if anything the bite feels a little lower than normal. There was a similar thread on here dated 2008 which was discussing the problem but didn't shed a definitive solution.
I had to have a new slave/master cylinder 3 years ago but that was due to no clutch rather than this problem.
Is it likely new hydraulics will sort this problem and in the meantime is it OK to keep driving or do I risk losing my clutch all together again? I'm sure I can bodge something up to hold the pedal down whilst I wait for the part to arrive.
Island 4x4 are only charging £37.49 (£15 less than 3 years ago) or £41.66 inc the slave bracket, a few required service parts on top and I get free delivery.
Thanks in advance.
