Hi to all,
I am towing a 1800kg plant trailer with a small digger down to Spain with a td5
I have been reading about towing in the forums.
The tyre pressures on the car and trailer are in writing on the side wall of the tyres for towing. The nose weight of the traler is 85kg
Would I have to set the trailer to be level on the bull hitch to start with or does the car compensate on its own? If I have to move the tow hitch, which has three settings, do I need to set it in the middle?
Thanks

The trailer needs to be level when you're all loaded, especially 4-wheel trailers.

Set the towbar so it's all straight and level.

Doesn't apply if you have a drawbar turntable trailer as the towbar pivots.

All as said above . Plus make shaw you find a level bit of ground . When setting up the trailer on the hitch . You can always check the trailer A frame with a little level as well . I tow a 26ft 2000k twin axle caravan . And taking the time to get it right make for a better jorney .
