Had a nasty surprise the other day in my 300tdi.
what looked like smoke started drifting out from behind the steering wheel. Pulled over fairly quickly, started hunting around and couldn't find anything. It still does it every so often. There is a whiff of hot antifreeze along with it so it's obviously a coolant leak rather than an electrical fault.
Any known faults or do I just start pulling the heater matrix out? Coolant level doesn't seem to be changing much so its only a very slight leak.
