Thought i would do a build / rolling project thread
as done it with most my previous cars so might aswell do one with the disco
Well the disco in question

disco 300tdi 1996 i think N reg got decent service history new prop ect
£1700
been round world with like 180k but had a new engine put in as old one drank some water
Name a few mods
-bull bar / winch bumper
-spot lights
-roof rack
-2 " lift kit
-2" lift spacers
-diff gaurds
-steering gaurd
-rock sliders
-265/75/16 insa turbo special tracks

think thats it off top off head

Since then in what a while now 3months

cut rear archs

And fitted a cb radio

fitted new rear wheel bearings

New radiator
As one was like this

the other side inner one welded its self and was just in loads off peices

then did rocker gasket
- front prop rear uj
-rear prop front uj

change all the oils engine gearbox transfer and diffs

then the front wheel bearings

and recently extended archs sorry only the one pic ill get some later

Just some pics

Now what to do next cheap thinking spots for the roof rack then black chequre plate on the sides

I really dont want to sell but need to fix my other car to then be able to sell it to then buy another landy and an r1 lol

I've gt an r1. Fast bike but don't like it. Always had gsxrs but thought id try an r1. Think I'll be going back to suzukis for next summer

Whys that then? Ive had an srad an an r6 and prefered an r6 so i thought of an r1 now

Had an R1 found it to small for me got a fireblade now couldn't be happier.

as for your disco wait untill the white stuff comes in a few months and you may get about £2000 to the right buyer

Not keen on the way it handles. The gsxr feels more fluent and smoother on the twistys seem to be able to carry more speed through the bends. Fancy a v twin aswel tbh. Been lookin at a ducati 999.

And ive been looking at the cbrs they seem quite pricy tho

Never ever get an Aprillia they are just so bad and will give you nothing but problems.

Less problems than a ducati. Me mates got an rsv Mille and it's never let him down. LOvely bike goes well and sound awesome. I've just got a soft spot for a ducati. Bit of a family trait, father, mother and brother all ride them. Lol. I get stick for riding Japanese point and squirt rockets. Haha

Not keen in the Hondas. Another mates got one, They're pretty much bomb proof like but brakes arnt up to much and they're a bit small the newer ones. I'm 6'1" an look a bit daft on one.

Im 6ft 2 lol about 95kg so need a decent size bike , not that into the knees touching elbows thing lol

Love Ducati had a 999 but got bored so that's when I got the Fireblade. I'm 6'3" and I don't find it to small. Will probably go back to Ducati when I'm done with it.

Funny how everybody seems to say that. Once uve had a duke nothing else is good enough. Temperamental things but aye arnt our lannys n we still love them. Haha

Well guys ive gone abit different and now a proud owner off a 2003 kawasaki zx636 b1
still got landy thats still broke tho picked the bike up for an absoulte bargin

Not a fan of the kwakas. But the 636 is a top stunt bike. Strip fairing an street fight it.

I had a Duke for about 3 yrs. In that time I did 15,000mls and NOTHING went wrong.

It was perfectly reliable and had no faults at all. Still miss her

She had the heart of a lion!
