clutch release bearing

what a bitch

just put a 200tdi fender gear box and 1.4 t box on my 90 to its 200tdi disco engine
new clutch and release bearing

and now the release bearing is rattling its tits off every now and then

Is it a Britpart heavy duty one by any chance?

I think I read somewhere about them causing a rattle on idle, not sure.

that was hd clutches and not just britpart ,release brg thrust face can click across from center to one side giving screechy noise,often will pop back later ,but could be poor brg

mine has been doing the same (HD my arse) am i fook taking it back out al live with it for now anyway

That ain't good news, just recieved my AP driveline clutch kit today, bloody hope mine doesn't do that!

theres 2 noises one which is release brg and a rattle in neutral at tick over which goes if pedal depressed or revs raised,which can be bought on with h/d clutch often goes away once clutch has run in ,was a big problem 10years or so ago bb produced clutch plate with small springs around center,as well as std springs this did cure problem doesnt happen on every vehicle as each has its own resonance,if you get noise when clutch pedal pressed its normally release brg if noisy on half pedal travel but quiet at top and when fully pressed spigot bush/brg
