Hey i thought id better join a land rover forum as in the past3 months iv gone from not owning a single land rover to owning 3 i LOVE THEM, I bought a series 2a to restore
got it striped down and i gasped! so i bought a disco to replace the engine into the series 2a, then last week i got my hands on a barn find series 3 so that's the stage im at. i thought from joining you gents i mite be able to pick your brain and exchange experiences thanks for taking the time to read this

Tony, you're very welcome here and I reckon this is the best forum for technical help bar none. However, if you're looking for ladies and gentlemen, you're in the wrong place. ;)
 
I like your style.. me too.. at any given point over the last 25yrs or so I have 2 or 3 in various states of disrepair.. :)

My Defender is in perfect running order, apart from the dodgy wiring, the rusty door frames, and the non functioning turbo. Oh, and I need a new battery, and the stop solenoid doesn't always work.


My 2a isn't. :rolleyes:

I'm no further on since then, since I found out I needed a new bulkhead, which I can't afford, followed by my hand problem,and other excuses.....:eek:

Nice attempt at a Scottish accent by the way, you should try it in a Gallowgate pub, the locals would love it!

Bulkhead's a bitch but it's still a nice little LR.. I had a '66 one.. well worth doing..

No the accent was especially for you, t'was my very best effort too! :)
