Hi, recently changed springs back to standard, but do i need to change shockers too. It did have a lift on it apparently when i bought it so will the shockers be bigger than standard ones. Im getting a lot of floating about on back end while driving but is it down to shockers or do i need to fit anti roll bars maybe as my Defender doesn’t have the fittings to do this. Any help appreciated

Your float could be down to worn out dampers/shocks, other possible is worn bushings/brackets in rear axle.
How much lift did it have? If more than 2 inch likely shocks will be overlength and not compress enough now.
SWB are fine without anti roll bar [ mine does not ] with suspension in good order.

My son had standard springs and +2 shocks, it can mean the springs can pop out on articulation. On road driving wasn't a problem.
As mentioned you probably need to change all the bushes and shocks anyway, not expensive if you do it yourself.

The shocks 'may' be compressing but you would surely hear quite a "clunk" when they bottomed out, so I don't think it's that.
Nor do I think it's lack of anti-roll bars. (I have a set inc fitting if you are interested in putting them back on).

When you say you changed "back to standard" what do you mean exactly ?
